Comment by Jithesh VN: If the word "AWESOME" can be used to describe those moments that make you speechless then the NECAB meet SAMAAGAMAM was AWESOME. This is the first time i attended the program and i understood the meaning of MIXED FEELINGS.. On one hand I was enjoying the program and simultaneously i was feeling sad that i missed the previous ones. The program started with an inaguration and for the first time i saw the people behind this program. A perfect blend of experience and youth. In the vote of thanks Aji was saying about what NSS has taught us and the reply of being a good human being. I thought in addition to this basic quality what else did I learn ( not academic) ........RESILIENCE.. no matter how many supple's we get.. we come back.. The basic requirement of Entrepreneurship and the proof was the board at the stage with names of companies started by our seniors. Then the programs started with a musical treat by our present students and boy those fellows are a talented bunch.. I knew about the singing abilities of Prashob from ISS but then there were some other amazing singers also. Check out the orchestra .. it had mrudangam, rhythm pad, guitar, drums, two chenda, keyboard and the last jugalbandi was too good. Prashob was asking for more audience support but probably we were so spellbound that just WOW came from our mouth and it kept on coming. Then came the next item BALABHASKAR + VIOLIN + HIS TEAM…. That’s it.. no explanation required ( in fact my weak vocabulary doesn’t allow me to do it) …. Audience had no estimate of time. Then there was this skit Waiting for GODOT.. Initially I couldn’t understand but was captivated by the performance of the actors . then when the drama progressed I felt the depth of the theme is too much and can make you think for hours.. In between I had to finally succumb to the aroma which helped me run ships in my mouth. Tasty dinner can lead to ERA-VIZHUNGIYA-PAAMBU syndrome. But if you follow it with a DJ like the one we had what else can we ask for.. once I had heard of term Age barriers… on the dancefloor I was thinking what does it mean.. the dance floor was full. Teenagers, adults , super adults and ultra adults all dancing for the same tune. After seeing the first batch to the current batch of NSS at NECAB, I learnt one thing growing old is not in our control but feeling young is definitely under our control. The completion of the program was by those slogans which still reverberates at our corridors of NSS… TA TADA TA.. TA TA TAADAA… HEEAAA HUUUAAA NSS.... and the entire four years ran through my mind..
